The Mark Twain Museum

The Mark Twain Museum

The Mark Twain Museum commemorates the two-year tenure of the writer Samuel Clemens, as a reporter for the local newspaper the Territorial Enterprise. It was during this period, in 1863, while working for the newspaper, that Clemens first used the pseudonym Mark Twain, the famous pen name by which he was known during his life.
